Hiking Directions:

Travel down the Roaring Fork Trail for 3 miles until you hit Goose Creek. The Goose Creek Trail will take off to the southwest and end near Little Goose Lake. The Goose Creek trail is 12.9 miles long. It begins at Roaring Fork Trail #807/Wilderness Boundary and ends at Fisher Creek Trail #826. The Goose Creek Trail immediately makes a shallow crossing of Roaring Fork Creek and then drops sharply through thick aspen stands to the Goose Creek Bottom. The trail crosses the mouth of Fisher Creek and proceeds up the scattered finger-like parks and patches of timber. The trail grade is gradual of most of the 11 miles that it parallels Goose Creek. The trail begins to make a fairly steep 1 mile climb out of the upper slopes of Goose Creek to the Divide between Goose Creek and Little Goose Lake. After a short, steep descent toward Little Goose Lake, the trail ends at the junction with the FDT# 826 (Fisher Creek Trail). The entire length of the trail is easy to follow but, the four creek crossings can be difficult to negotiate in the spring.

Restrictions: Must have Colorado Fishing License to fish.
